How do I calibrate the horizontal installation of a tension sensor?

1. Mechanical Alignment
Use a laser alignment tool to ensure that the sensor axis and the drive shaft are coaxial within 0.1mm. Eccentric loading can cause strain gauge debonding or measurement errors.
The mounting surface roughness must meet Ra 3.2, with a contact area greater than 85% to avoid angular deviation due to unevenness.
2. Leveling
Place the sensor horizontally, with an inclination angle of 3° or less. Otherwise, gravity will affect measurement accuracy.
Use a spirit level to calibrate, ensuring the mounting surface is perpendicular to the ground within 1°.
3. Zero Calibration
Perform the "Tare" operation on the HMI interface in the unloaded state. Temperature-compensated models require a 30-minute warm-up at 25°C.
After zeroing the sensor without load, enter the actual force value as 0. Wait for the AD value to stabilize before confirming calibration is complete.
4. Load Test Verification
Gradually load the sensor to full scale and monitor the output linearity (deviation should be <±1%FS). During sudden unloading, the signal fallback time should be <50ms. If abnormal, recheck the levelness.

Precautions
Environmental Requirements: Avoid high-temperature, humid, or corrosive environments. Install a protective cover if necessary.

Cable Protection: Route signal cables through metal corrugated conduit, with a spacing of >30cm from power cables. Apply IP67-rated sealant to joints.

Safe Operation: Ensure the tension is within the sensor's range to prevent overload damage.
