Installation Precautions for Intrinsically Safe Sensors

I. Pre-Installation Preparation

1. Environmental Confirmation: Ensure the installation environment meets the sensor's explosion-proof rating requirements (e.g., IP65 protection rating required in underground coal mines).

2. Tools and Materials: Use explosion-proof tools. Cables must have a "drip ring" design to prevent liquid ingress.

II. Installation Location and Fixing

1. Location Selection: Vertically suspended, ≤300mm from the roof, ≥200mm from the tunnel wall, avoiding areas prone to vibration and electromagnetic interference.

Pipe-type sensors require welded sealed bases, with Teflon tape wrapped around the threads to ensure airtightness.

2. Fixing Requirements: Securely fix using explosion-proof clamps or screws to prevent displacement.

III. Cables and Connections

1. Cable Specifications: Length must not exceed the explosion-proof test qualification value; avoid parallel operation with high-current lines.

Aviation connectors must be tightened tightly, ensuring correct power polarity (red wire to positive). 2. Signal Adjustment: Set the ground tension value (e.g., set the GAD10 sensor to a range of 0~10t).

Calibrate the output signal (e.g., current signal: tension value × 1.6 + 4mA).

IV. Safety and Maintenance

1. Explosion-proof Inspection: Do not change the model of related equipment or cables without authorization.

2. Regular Maintenance: Remove dust (using a dust blower or short-term water washing). When not in use for a long time, store in a dry, non-corrosive environment.

V. Special Scenarios

1. Underground Coal Mines: Pre-process pipeline anti-corrosion and lining processes must be completed simultaneously.

2. High-Temperature Environments: Take heat dissipation measures to ensure the temperature does not exceed the sensor's limit.
