Safety technical measures for explosion-proof cameras

1) Temporary electricity applicants, approvers, etc. must fully understand the physical and chemical properties of explosive gas release sources and fire hazardous substances in the environment of the electricity operation before formulating and implementing safety technical measures, such as explosion limit, ignition temperature, flash point, specific gravity, etc; Understand the release pattern and spatial distribution of the release source, as well as the ventilation situation on site; What kind of explosive hazardous area does the environment belong to? Based on the above situation, the following measures can be taken:
2) Temporary electricity that cannot achieve overall explosion prevention is prohibited from being used in Zone 0 and Zone 1. Due to the fact that explosive gas mixtures are unlikely to occur in Zone 2 during normal operation, and even if they do occur, they are only temporary explosive gas mixture environments, temporary electrical operations can be carried out after implementing organizational and technical measures.
3) When using a portable combustible gas alarm for on-site detection, if the concentration of explosive gas does not exceed 10% of the specified value, it can be considered as a non explosion proof area.
4) Set up temporary local strong ventilation with explosion-proof fans to reduce the concentration of explosive gases and maintain a relatively positive pressure state.
5) Use flame-retardant canvas and other obstacles for isolation, limit the spread of explosive gas mixtures heavier than air, and narrow the scope of the explosion hazard zone.
6) Explosive gases are deposited in wells, pits, cable trenches, and steam pipe trenches in areas such as equipment zones and oil tank zones. Inspection and testing are necessary to prevent the accumulation of explosive gases in blind spots.
7) When an accident occurs in the production equipment, the process is abnormal, or sampling, dehydration, discharge and other operations must be carried out during production. Temporary use of electricity can easily cause explosion and fire accidents. Electrical personnel must absolutely obey the instructions of production personnel, immediately stop using electricity, and carry out power outage operations in non explosion proof areas.
8) For electrical tools and communication equipment with explosion-proof performance, the explosion-proof category, level, and temperature group on the nameplate must be carefully checked before use. If the explosion-proof category, level, and temperature group on the nameplate cannot meet the level and temperature group that may release substances in the operating environment, or if the category is incorrect, it should be considered as non explosion-proof electrical equipment.
9) Temporary electrical wires should use sheathed rubber flexible cables, and cables laid along the ground should be strictly protected from being crushed and have mechanical protection measures in place; Cables laid overhead are strictly prohibited from being tied with metal wires or affected by heat sources, and must be fixed with insulators.
10) Welding operations may cause unsafe and unhygienic phenomena such as explosions, fires, electric shock accidents, and dust hazards.

  • Flammable and explosive metal parts connected to the main equipment cannot be used as welding ground wires to prevent high temperatures or sparks from occurring at contact points with poor electrical connections;
  • To prevent the extension of no-load voltage or working voltage of welding machines that are insulated from the ground, sparks, arcs or high temperatures may be generated when encountering poor contact points, which may ignite explosive gases in the environment;
  • It is strictly prohibited to use the metal structures, pipelines, tracks, or other metal objects of the factory building to overlap and use as wires;
  • It is strictly prohibited for welding wires or welding machine power lines with insulation damage or aging to pass through fire and explosion hazardous areas.

11) Temporary electrical work in fire and explosion environments also poses safety issues such as personal electric shock. Therefore, it is necessary to comply with relevant regulations and standards such as the Ministry of Electric Power's "Electricity Safety Work Regulations" at the same time.
12) Any temporary electricity use involving mechanical, process, and electrical aspects must be confirmed by a tripartite agreement to avoid accidents.
