1. Power and Startup Issues
Unable to Start
Insufficient power supply (e.g., insufficient switching power supply or excessive voltage drop due to thin wires)
Power cord connected incorrectly or shorted (use a multimeter to check input voltage and current)
Reset circuit failure causing program freeze; power cycle may recover
Repeated restarts
Insufficient power supply (measure voltage under load; for outdoor cameras, consider heater power consumption)
2. Image and Signal Issues
Unclear image
Insufficient IR light current (caused by 12V power attenuation when powered remotely)
Unfocused lens (e.g., IR light scattering or cotton cloth not properly clamped)
Circuit design defects (low-quality components or direct soldering without aging)
Abnormal image
Video scrolling: Synchronization issues (need to adjust phase value or enable auto-sync)
Whipped image: Improper aperture setting or incorrect exposure correction value
Color cast: White balance not calibrated ( Manual/automatic adjustment required)
III. Line and Connection Failures
Signal Interference
Video cable and power cable touching (use a multimeter to check voltage and install an anti-interference device)
High and low-voltage wiring not separated (must be constructed in strict accordance with specifications)
Communication Failure
Control Code Garbled: Data cable affected by electromagnetic interference (e.g., optical/electrical conversion deviation of optical transceivers)
Protocol Mismatch (ensure the host and decoder are of the same brand)
IV. Environmental and Maintenance Issues
Protection Failure
Aging seals leading to reduced dust and water resistance (requires regular cleaning and replacement)
Corrosive dust accumulation (e.g., chemical plants require weekly cleaning)
Poor Heat Dissipation: Failure to clean the cooling fan in high-temperature environments (can easily cause equipment overheating)
V. Other Failures
PTZ Loss of Control: Cable detachment or breakage (check moving parts connections)
Lightning Damage: Ground resistance > 1Ω or mixed connection with the power grid
