Intrinsically Safe Speed Sensor

The mining intrinsically safe speed sensor is suitable for environments in coal mine underground that contain explosive mixtures such as methane and coal dust. It can convert the linear speed of the belt into an analog signal. After being processed by the host processor, it can achieve functions such as low-speed slip and overspeed protection for the belt. It can directly output an analog signal corresponding to the belt's linear speed for display and evaluation by other devices.

Working Principle

The intrinsically safe speed sensor operates by measuring the movement of an object and generating a corresponding current signal output. Upon detecting the motion, the sensor head sends the signal to a processing circuit, which converts the data into a 4-20mA current output proportional to the object's speed. This analog signal can be interfaced with control devices like PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) or DCSs (Distributed Control Systems) to monitor and control the speed effectively.
