1. Choose a suitable grounding system
Independent grounding system: The grounding system of Explosion-Proof Camera should be set up independently to avoid sharing the grounding wire with other electrical equipment.
Material of grounding trunk line: The grounding trunk line should be made of galvanized flat steel (≥40mm×4mm) or copper cable (≥25mm²), and it is forbidden to share the grounding wire with ordinary areas.
2. Optimize the laying of grounding wire
Grounding wire length: The grounding wire should be as short and straight as possible to avoid excessively long lines to increase resistance.
Grounding wire material: The grounding wire should be made of multi-strand soft twisted wire, and the cross-sectional area of the copper core should not be less than 4mm².
Avoid cross interference: The grounding wire should avoid crossing with other cables or equipment lines to prevent interference and failure.
3. Reasonable selection of grounding point
Grounding point location: The grounding point should be selected close to the Explosion-Proof Camera to ensure the conductivity of the grounding wire.
Environmental conditions: The grounding point should be selected in a dry and well-ventilated place to avoid moisture or water accumulation.
4. Ensure that the grounding connection is firm
Connection point inspection: The connection of the grounding wire should be firm and reliable to avoid loosening or disconnection. A suitable grounding clamp should be used at the connection point to ensure good contact between the grounding wire and the grounding equipment.
Regular inspection: Regularly check whether the grounding wire is broken, rusted or loose. If there is a problem, it should be handled in time.
5. Use multi-point grounding
Multi-point grounding: Large equipment (such as storage tanks, reactors) must have at least two grounding points, with a spacing of ≤20m.
6. Anti-corrosion treatment
Grounding body material: In a humid or corrosive environment, the grounding body must be made of stainless steel or galvanized material, and the welding point must be coated with anti-corrosion asphalt.
7. Bridging measures
Bridging requirements: Copper braided belts must be used to bridge metal flanges and valves (cross-sectional area ≥6mm²) to eliminate contact resistance.
8. Regular inspection and maintenance
Regular inspection: Measure the grounding resistance every 6 months (using a grounding resistance tester), and shorten it to 3 months in rainy season or corrosive environment.
Record and archive: The test results should be recorded and archived, and rectification should be made immediately when the resistance exceeds the standard.
