I. Preparing Dedicated Cleaning Tools
1. Air Blower: Removes surface dust from the lens, preventing scratches from particles during wiping.
2. Soft-bristled Lens Brush: Gently sweeps away residual dust or small debris.
3. Microfiber Cloth or Lens Paper: For final wiping only; do not use ordinary paper towels, clothing, or hard materials.
4. Lens Cleaning Solution (Test Lens Fluid): Use as needed; never apply directly to the lens.
II. Step-by-Step Cleaning Procedure
1. Power Disconnection and Safety Confirmation: Disconnect the power supply in a safe area, ensuring the operation complies with explosion-proof requirements. Avoid disassembling or touching interfaces in flammable or explosive environments.
2. Initial Dust Removal: Use the air blower to repeatedly blow away loose dust from the lens surface; if any residue remains, gently sweep it away with the lens brush. Do not press forcefully.
3. Treating Stubborn Stains
For oil stains, watermarks, carbon ash, etc.:
Apply a small amount of lens cleaner to a microfiber cloth or lens paper;
Gently wipe in a spiral motion from the center of the lens outwards, avoiding scratching the coating;
Repeat 2-3 times until clean.
4. Cleaning Edges and Shielding
Use a cotton swab dampened with cleaner to clean the edges and crevices of the lens;
Check the inside of the shielding for fogging or dust accumulation, cleaning it if necessary.
5. Completing Protection
Immediately replace the protective shield after cleaning, checking that the O-ring seals are intact and the connections are secure, ensuring the IP66 protection rating is restored.
III. Key Precautions
1. Do not wipe the lens directly with your hands, ordinary paper towels, or clothing to avoid leaving fingerprints or causing irreversible scratches.
2. Do not clean while the lens is powered on, especially avoiding electrical sparks when inserting or removing memory cards or interfaces.
3. If you find that the lens is fogging, the coating is peeling off, or wiping is ineffective, stop using it and return it to the factory for repair. Do not disassemble it yourself.
4. For daily storage, it is recommended to place it in a dry box to prevent moisture from causing the lens to mold.
⚠️ Special Reminder: Never try to pick at the dirt on the lens element with your hands! (Repeated three times for emphasis)
